Welcome, I am so glad you are here.
I am Dr. Kristy Center and I am a licensed clinical psychologist and certified Hakomi therapist in the state of Colorado who has been in practice for over 15 years. I and am dedicated to providing my clients with the most current and effective evidence-based treatments from a trauma-informed, holistic, heart-felt, and sometimes humorous lens.
If you are suffering, feeling miserable, burned out, or out of sync, I will help you learn ways to recenter yourself so that you can connect to your innate capacity for healing and transformation. I will support you to help you overcome limiting beliefs, learn to relate to anxiety and depression differently so that you can feel safe to reprocess past traumas and restore a sense of balance, meaning, and joy to your life.
Services Offered
Individual therapy
Because no two people are exactly the same, I will work with you to design an individually-tailored treatment program to address your specific needs. My primary experience has been working with individual adults who are experiencing distress due to PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, post military readjustment, chronic illness, and moral injury. Common methods used are EMDR, Hakomi somatic therapy, mindfulness, parts work, and CBT.
Ketamine Assisted PsychoTherapy
Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) is offered to help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, to help people change their relationships to past traumas, and has shown promise in helping symptoms of OCD, addictions, and pain. It can also be used for deeper psychological and spiritual exploration to gain a broader perspective on life and meaning as it can promote deeper states of self-awareness.
Telehealth/virtual therapy
I am a member of PSYPACT which permits me to offer telehealth services to all states within the PSYPACT agreement. This means I can provide therapy to clients living in any of the 33 participating states (5 more are pending).
veteran therapy
Serving in the military is a unique experience that can be both rewarding, challenging and can sometimes leave one feeling isolated. Seeking therapy to help process your experiences can be daunting. If you are a Veteran who is brave enough to make this leap, it can be extremely helpful to work with someone familiar with your language and specific issues. While I have not personally served, I have spent 15 years working within the VA Healthcare system, and I am passionate about providing excellent holistic mental health care to Veterans and would be honored to work with you.

Hey, I’m Dr. Kristy Center, Owner of ReCentered Healing
core values
Holistic
Unlike traditional therapy, which often focuses solely on the mind, holistic therapy takes a more comprehensive view of your health and well-being. I believe that every part of your being is interconnected and that working with the whole person is the best way to achieve lasting results.
Inclusive
All parts of you are welcome here: the parts you are proud of and the ones might be ashamed or afraid of. Additionally, I strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and respected no matter their backgrounds, cultures, or experiences.
Compassion
I know what it’s like to struggle with mental well-being. Compassion is the ability to understand and feel for others, even when their experiences are different from our own. For me, compassion is more than just a feeling, it's an ongoing practice.
